‘Eye Wide’ by Maria Brudașcă is an evocative drawing that merges the worlds of reality and imagination on paper. The piece invites the viewer to reconsider the commonplace, as a monstera leaf becomes a mask that is both revealing and concealing.
Brudașcă’s work explores the interplay between perception and inner dialogue. The singular eye peering through the leafy mask suggests an introspective gaze, while the subtle smile hints at hidden narratives.
This limited edition piece, crafted with precision and care, offers a thought-provoking addition to any collection. It serves as a conversation starter, a catalyst for reflecting on the unseen layers of everyday life.
